Permanent Make-Up

Wake Up With Makeup!

How much time do women spend applying makeup?  This is a lengthy and natural part of their daily lives.  Some women find applying makeup to be bothersome and too time consuming.  Others have physical conditions that make applying makeup difficult, (i.e.: allergies, severe arthritis, poor eye sight, etc.). Cosmetics cost money and only last temporarily, permanent makeup (micropigmentation) provides a way to save time and help women gain the appearance they desire.

Permanent makeup can help enhance the appearance of eyelids and lips.  For example, those with little or no eyebrow hair, a permanent eyebrow procedure can provide more natural-looking results.  Permanent makeup can also help cover up unsightly scars, and does not wash away, smudge, or fade in a few hours.  If cared for, permanent makeup can last for years.

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup is a procedure that implants colored pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. This procedure is performed with a rotary pen.  The rotary pen, also called the cosmetic pen, is a small machine type tool specifically developed for the permanent cosmetic industry. This tool comes with varying strengths of power sources and available needle configurations. The name “rotary” comes from the manner in which the needle moves – in a somewhat circular path.

Following the permanent makeup procedure, the colors will appear darker but will lighten in the next few weeks. You will be able to choose your pigment colors so they can be either soft and natural or dramatic. It is best to just enhance your features and you will still be able to apply regular makeup over your permanent makeup for a new look.

Most people do have some degree of redness or swelling after undergoing a permanent makeup procedure but are able to continue normal activities immediately after. Some people will experience fading over time and may require some touch-up to keep the color vibrant.

Permanent makeup is a skin invasive procedure which should be done by a licensed technician.

Does Permanent Makeup Hurt?

With Doctors on site, we have the ability to offer not only topical anesthetic but also local anesthetic to minimize discomfort of getting permanent makeup.

Permanent eyeliner can be applied in many styles and colors, from soft, natural-looking lash enhancement to a defined line, the choice is yours! Some people feel both upper and lower eyeliner suits their needs best, while others feel only an upper or a lower eyeliner is appropriate for them. Whatever you choose, you will wake up, shower, exercise, work, swim, and go to bed always looking your best. No more eyeliner smear or smudge during the day, no more concern when participating in sports, your appearance remains fresh throughout the day and night.

If you have little or no eyebrow hair, you will be amazed at the change that permanent eyebrows can make in your appearance. Eyebrows frame your face and add definition. The proper placement of eyebrows will open up your eyes and often actually change the appearance of the shape of your face.

Lip Liner & Full Lip Color

Permanent lip liner can be applied to give more definition, correct uneven lips, which will result in a fuller appearance. The procedure also helps prevent lipstick from bleeding and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles. Full lip color can be applied in a natural hue or vivid one. You can wear your permanent lip color alone in a natural tone or apply different colors of lipstick over your permanent color for those occasions when you prefer a more dramatic look; you will find that the color lasts much longer when applied over permanent cosmetic lip color than it did to a bare lip.
