Facelift

A facelift is a plastic surgery procedure that minimizes visible signs of aging in the lower portion of the face by reducing sagging facial skin, tightening the jaw line, and diminishing wrinkles around the mouth. When combined with liposuction, a facelift can eliminate a double chin.

It can also be performed in conjunction with other facial surgery procedures, such as a mid facelift, neck lift, chin surgery, and/or blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).

Brow lift surgery, including endoscopic browlift, is especially popular to combine with a facelift. This allows you to correct signs of aging in the forehead, eyebrow, and frown line areas, as well as the lower portion of the face.

What You Should Know About Facelift Surgery

In facelift surgery, our board certified plastic surgeons remove excess fat, tighten muscles, and redrape the skin to create a more youthful look. The surgery is usually completed in 3-5 hours. The incisions are hidden just behind the hairline.

Facelift Recovery

Minor swelling and bruising can be expected for 2 or 3 weeks after your face lift. Any discomfort can be managed with pain medications. Most patients are surprised that the recovery period is easier than they expected.
